Founder story

Well, where to begin?! I've always been creative - it's something I feel runs in my blood, it's in my bones. I was always destined to create and make things with my hands for a living. I grew up with a bricklayer Dad, two grandmothers who would sew and knit, and two grandfathers who adored wood making. I spent weekends at grandparents houses learning their crafts and their passion for creativity and making. I truly believe this fuelled my own natural desires and talents.

I didn't love school, I loved being with friends and learning about what I was actually interested in, but the authority and rigidity of school felt oppressing - I always felt like I didn't fit. The creative subjects were the only ones I actually wanted to do and enjoyed; English Literature, Art, Textiles, Graphics, D&T and Drama. I ended up choosing only two creative subjects for my GCSE's (after some since regrettable advice from a parent!), which then evolved into rebelling school. I left my A Level studies to pursue a career in hospitality, which was great fun and taught me some really valuable skills and lessons.

After a relationship break down, I decided that I would do an access course to go to university, since I didn't have the A Levels required. I studied Access to HE Art & Design at Swindon College and fell head over heels into studio life, painting and 3D work. I then went on to study Drawing and Applied Arts at UWE and graduated with First Class Honors - what a turnaround from A Levels.

Over the next four years, I worked within the jewellery industry in a few roles, as well as enrolling in jewellery courses to develop my skills. In 2020, I began messing around in my at home studio and started to make my own designs and creations. I wanted to bring pieces to life that had existed in my head, but in a sustainable, slow pace way - lockdown gave me the time to do that.

Over the next couple of years, I grew my business alongside employed work. We also welcomed two children, who became an enormous reason for me to go "full time" with the business, as well as having an incredibly supportive partner who has believed and encouraged me since day 1. The business developed into a predominately "bespoke" model, working on unique pieces and one of a kind designs and remodels.

Mission

Over the years and as we've evolved, we are continuously looking to reduce our impact, improve ethics and be as transparent as possible. You can read more about our sustainability statement here

Since 2020, Hannah's work has evolved to predominantly creating bespoke pieces for her clients. Hannah is passionate about creating high quality, personal and sentimental heirloom pieces for her clients to celebrate their unique life stories.

Hannah wants to be able to share her crafts with those who like to do things a little differently, who are attracted to high quality and meaningful pieces that mean the world to their wearers. Hannah adores jewellery that tells a tale and marks a special moment in time.

Vision

The vision for the future is to have a "semi-bespoke" wedding band and engagement ring collection, available to buy with a shorter turnaround time. Whilst Hannah's first love with her business is creating unique and bespoke pieces for her clients, she also wishes to be able to serve those on a tighter deadline or budget. These collections would also serve as an indication for Hannah's unique style and taste.

We are also in the midst of creating our first demi-fine collection - a buildable, stackable collection for occasion wear and gifting. Available at lower price points but still made using high quality, sustainable materials.
