Our jewellery is designed to last for a lifetime, and even generations. Each pieces is created with quality materials and expert craft(wo)manship. But even the finest jewellery needs a little care and TLC from the wearer to keep it sparkling for years to come.
Different metals and materials need different care, see below for our insight into looking after your jewellery long term.
Solid Gold
Our solid gold pieces are designed to be worn all day, every day. But day to day wear can be harsh, so if you find that your pieces are losing their shine, use the polishing cloth, or soap and warm water, to bring them back to life.
No mater the material, we never recommend wearing your jewellery while cleaning using strong chemicals or swimming in swimming pools.
Gold plated
To keep your plated jewellery's shine, we recommend to avoid exposure to water, sweat or perfumes, as this can cause your jewellery to tarnish and oxidise. As a general rule, your jewels should be the last thing you put on in the morning, and the first thing you take off at night.
If you see some tarnishing clean gently and do not vigorously scrub or rub the plated surface.
Silver
The best way to care for your sterling silver jewellery is to wear them often, when left for periods of time or exposed to chemicals silver can tarnish. This is a natural process created by exposure to air and the natural oils and chemicals with wear.
To keep your silver looking bright we recommend wearing it regularly or storing in an airtight environment.
Gemstones
To care for your gemstones, we recommend avoiding water and perfumes. Some semi-precious stones can be affected by exposure to direct sunlight, so we recommend that you store these items in a jewellery box or pouch when unworn.
If you need to clean your gemstone jewellery, wipe them with a microfibre cloth or rub gently with a soft toothbrush and warm water with washing up liquid.
